Hygon and Sugon Report Revenue Surge as China’s AI Push Accelerates Domestic Computing Demand

China’s drive for technological self reliance gained fresh momentum as semiconductor designer Hygon Information Technology and supercomputer manufacturer Sugon reported strong revenue growth for 2025, fueled by expanding artificial intelligence projects and rising demand for domestic computing infrastructure.

Hygon, headquartered in Beijing and listed in Shanghai, posted annual revenue of 14.4 billion yuan in 2025, marking a 56.9 percent increase from the previous year. Profit attributable to shareholders rose to 2.54 billion yuan, up 32 percent year on year. The performance highlights robust domestic procurement of high performance processors and AI accelerators as China deepens its investment in home grown chip development.

Sugon, widely recognized for its role in building advanced computing systems and data center infrastructure, also recorded a significant rise in revenue. The company has been a central player in China’s supercomputing ecosystem, supplying servers and high performance computing platforms to government agencies, research institutes, and enterprise customers.
