US border agent wounds two in Portland amid rising tensions over immigration enforcement
A United States Border Patrol agent shot and wounded two people during a traffic stop in Portland, Oregon, in an incident that has heightened national tensions over the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement strategy.

A day earlier in Minnesota, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot a woman during a separate operation, leading to intense protests and deepening disagreements between federal and state officials.
